CottageCore style.

One of my clients bought a cute cottage in Sonoma Wine Country, Healdsburg. She asked for yard decoration tips, I wanted to share them here too. Here you go!

🍃tip 1: Cottage gardens thrive on the “more is more” approach - there’s always space for another flower to dance in the mix! Picture hollyhocks, lavender, daisy, rose, and foxglove joining the party.

🍃tip 2: Get creative with your planting. Tuck blooms into small gaps between plants, pot them up, and even sneak them between paving slabs.

🍃tip 3: Install a swing bed or create a cozy seating spot for your little oasis of calm. Add soft cushions and a cozy throw, perfect for lazy afternoons and stargazing nights.

🍃tip 4: Add vintage touches. Tap into your creative side and give a new life to neglected items. Think of a weathered bench, antique chairs, or a vintage watering can. The eco-friendly approach perfectly captures the essence of the cottagecore lifestyle.

🍃tip 5: Embrace natural materials. Use natural materials like wood and stone for pathways or stepping stones to create a rustic and organic look.

🍃tip 6: Personalize your space with hand-painted signs or create hanging planters for your mini herb garden. Try using cute thrifted pots or tin cans and fill them with fresh herbs like lavender, rosemary, thyme, or mint for a fragrant and tasty garden.

🍃tip 7: Set up bird feeders or plant bee-friendly flowers to attract birds, butterflies, and bees, enhancing the natural appeal of your cottagecore yard. Let’s invite nature into your space.

✨There you have it, a few tips to sprinkle some cottagecore magic into your yard. Happy decorating!

🏡Cottagecore embraces the charm of nostalgia and vintage aesthetics. Inspired by rustic countryside settings, it’s all about creating a cozy and simpler way of lifestyle.
