Maria was one of my first and most loyal customers when I had my Maison Rêve vintage shop in Mill Valley, CA. I remember every piece she bought, as they were always my favorites! But mostly, I remember our chats. We were kindred spirits, just two busy moms connected by our ability to see the beauty in vintage finds. Watching her inspire so many people with her curated style and photographic eye is incredibly fun. She is the real deal, inside and out.

I grew up in Montreal, Canada. My mother is Suisse and she naturally became friends with a Scandinavian family nearby, the Perssons. One of their daughters, Lotta, was my first best friend. Their family influenced my love for this design style and culture at an early age. So when Niki shares stories from her Scandi home, I feel like I am sharing tea at her kitchen table, swapping design ideas (wouldn't that be a dream!).
